Our Story
NokStay started with a simple idea rooted in a Garo word — Nok, meaning house or home. We wanted to build something that lived up to that name: a platform that helps travelers discover real homes to stay in, run by real people, especially in the beautiful, untapped corners of the region that rarely make it onto the usual travel sites. Homestay owners in these areas often have no easy way to reach travelers looking for exactly what they offer. NokStay exists to close that gap.
Our Mission
Our mission is to be a genuine bridge between customers and homestay owners — nothing more, nothing less. We don't charge travelers anything to book through NokStay. We charge homestay owners only a very affordable fee per booking, kept deliberately low so hosting stays worthwhile for them and staying stays affordable for you. In return, NokStay takes responsibility for the technology platform itself and for verifying the authenticity of every homestay we list, so you can book with confidence and owners can be found without needing to navigate booking technology on their own.

NokStay doesn't run these homes — our hosts do. Many of our hosts are in untapped areas that have never had an easy way to reach travelers before, and part of our mission is making sure that changes.
