1. Who We Are

NokStay is a technology platform that connects travelers ("you," "customer") with independent homestay owners ("hosts"). NokStay's role is limited to providing the technology that lets you discover homestays and send booking requests to hosts, and to verifying the authenticity of the homestays listed on our platform. NokStay does not own, operate, or manage any homestay, and is not a party to the booking or stay itself.

2. Information We Collect

When you use NokStay, we may collect:

• Account and contact information you provide, such as your name, email address, and phone number.
• Booking request details, including the dates, number of guests, and homestay you are requesting to book.
• Communications you send to us or through the platform in connection with your booking request.
• Technical information, such as device and browser information, collected automatically to keep the platform working properly.

NokStay does not collect, process, or store any payment information. Payment for your stay is arranged and handled directly between you and your host — see Section 5.

3. How Your Booking Works

1. You browse available homestays and submit a booking request through NokStay.
2. Your request is sent to the host, who reviews and either approves or declines it.
3. A booking is only confirmed once the host approves it. NokStay facilitates this request and response but does not make the booking decision.

Because your name, contact details, and booking request are shared with the host so they can review and fulfill your request, please only submit information you're comfortable sharing with the host directly.

5. Payments

NokStay does not collect any payment from you, and we are not responsible for handling, processing, or safeguarding any payment. All payment arrangements — including whether you pay by cash on arrival, online transfer, or any other method — are made directly between you and your host, based on whatever payment facilities your host has available. Any payment disputes should be raised directly with your host.

6. Cancellation and Other Policies

Cancellation policies, house rules, and any other terms of stay are set individually by each host, not by NokStay. You are responsible for reviewing and following the specific policies of the host you book with. If you have questions about cancellation, changes to your stay, or any other booking-related matter, please contact your host directly — NokStay is not able to resolve these on your host's behalf.

We use the information we collect to:

• Operate and improve the NokStay platform.
• Process and route your booking requests to the relevant host.
• Verify the authenticity of homestays and hosts on our platform.
• Communicate with you about your account or booking requests.
• Maintain the security of our platform.

8. How We Share Your Information

We share your booking request details with the host you're requesting to book with, so they can review and respond to your request. We do not sell your personal information. We may share information where required by law or to protect the safety and integrity of our platform.

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we hold. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Your Responsibilities

Because NokStay's role is limited to the technology platform, you agree that:

• Any query relating to your booking, stay, payment, or cancellation should be directed to your host.
• You are responsible for confirming your booking directly with your host, particularly given potential connectivity limitations in remote areas.
• You will review and follow the specific cancellation and stay policies set by your host.
